Andrea Wood serves as the vice president of social impact at Best Buy. Her previous title was the executive director of the Best Buy Foundation where she drove Best Buy’s internal and external reputation as a responsible corporate citizen through the development and implementation of strategic corporate social responsibility programs. Prior to joining Best Buy in 2011, Ms. Wood worked at Target Corporation for six years in the areas of community relations and internal communications. Prior to joining Target Corporation, she served as the manager of corporate communications at Travelers Insurance in St. Paul for five years.
Ms. Wood currently serves on the board of The Clubhouse Network, Boston Museum of Science and is a member of the GenNext Leadership Council. Past volunteer work includes serving as a board member with HandsOn Twin Cities, Midwest Art Conservation Center, Minneapolis Institute of Arts and the Sexual Violence Center.
Ms. Wood holds a Bachelors of Arts in English literature from Kalamazoo College and a Master of Arts in public affairs from University of Minnesota’s Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs.
