Grateful. When I reflect on Wednesday’s Connecting Our Circles virtual event, that’s the first word that comes to mind. I am so thankful for you and so very touched by the generosity of our community.

Funds raised through Connecting Our Circles help us continue to offer high-quality child care for the children of our city’s essential workers and emergency personnel at our Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Ecolab and Midtown locations. They also help us quickly evolve our Racial Justice and Public Policy, Girls and Youth and Health and Wellness programs to virtual models so that we can continue to meet the needs of our community during this challenging time.

To date, Connecting Our Circles and our Emergency Fund have brought in donations from nearly 400 donors. If you did not have a chance to make a gift during Connecting Our Circles, please consider doing so today to support our life-changing programs. Emergency, unrestricted dollars raised are vital to the health of our organization and our ability to respond quickly to serve our community. And if you were able to join us at any time during the event, please take a moment to let us know about your experience.

In accordance with the governor’s announcement to extend the stay-at-home executive order, our temporary program closures will continue in effect until at least May 18. We will announce plans for this year’s Women’s Triathlon on May 8. Stay tuned for more opportunities to connect with YWCA Minneapolis and follow us on social media.

Thank you for your compassionate partnership and consideration of YWCA Minneapolis during this critical time. Together, we will continue to advance our mission to eliminate racism, empower women and promote peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

We are deeply humbled and grateful for your support. Thank you.
