Need some support? Just learning to Tri? We are offering a small series of outdoor classes this summer, with safety precautions:
This is our most popular summer class that focuses on tricks, tips and skills for completing or improving triathlons including gear, open water skills, mini tri transitions practice and bike handling.
Riding your bike is not only just one part of a triathlon, it is great for commuting, fitness, and fun! In order to keep a safe and functioning bicycle for years, it does require a bit of knowledge to safely ride and maintain.
Practice efficiently putting together all the components of a triathlon – open water swim – transition 1 – bike – transition 2 – run. A roped off transition area with bike racks, coupled with the support and guidance of YWCA Endurance Sports Coaches, will help improve your overall time.
Get back to the basics! The open water swim portion of any triathlon can be very intimidating. Let our coaches lead you through some dry land, strength-based exercises using just your bodyweight!
Are you new to triathlon? An experienced athlete looking for a refresher or additional tips and tricks? This new virtual Triathlon Talk Series is for you. Please join us every Monday at 11:00 am starting July 6 for a Zoom talk. An experienced coach will break down each component of a triathlon in a five-part live series.
Register for the whole series for $25 or individually for $8 per week.
