YWCA Minneapolis offers youth sports programs for basketball, soccer, volleyball, group swim and more. These classes introduce youth to the basics of team sports in a positive and collaborative environment — it’s the perfect way to nurture your child’s interest in athletic activities.
Our youth sports classes are run by experienced coaches who are committed to the safety and development of each participant. Through personalized guidance and pre-game lessons on sportsmanship and inclusion, our coaches instill the positivity, respect and determination young athletes need to excel in team sports.
Bridge the gap between swim lessons and swim team! In this camp kids will learn the basics of competitive stroke technique for butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle. We will teach racing starts and turns. Participants will learn in a positive atmosphere and have the chance to experience a team setting, from hard sets to game time. Above all else, you learn how much fun you have on a swim team!
YWCA swim lessons teach every member of the family how to feel capable and comfortable in the water. Kids Zone is a child care service for ages 6 weeks to 4 years. Participating children receive engaging and supportive care from our highly trained youth staff, who are fully certified in CPR and First Aid.
Fit Kids Gym at YWCA Midtown provides child care service for ages 5-11, and focuses on creating engaging fitness activities for youth. Gym staff are experienced child care professionals with CPR and First Aid training.
