Small Group Training

Work out with a personal trainer or specialty instructor for a fraction of the cost.

Classes are led by certified personal trainers who individually guide you to get the most out of your workout!

  • You must purchase a single or 6-class program pass to attend a class.
  • Open to members and nonmembers of all fitness levels.
  • Senior classes are ideal for ages 55+. These classes incorporate low-impact moves, easy-to-follow pacing and modifications to create an invigorating total body workout for active older adults.

Note: When purchasing a program pass, the page defaults to “Scheduler” in the dropdown menu. Please select Group Exercise from the drop-down menu to purchase a program pass.

What’s New?

  • We are combining our senior programming with our Small Group Training classes and selling one package to access them all.
  • If you have any remaining Prime Time, HIIT or Hot Yoga/Body Flow passes on your account, you can redeem them for any class on the Small Group Training schedule.
  • If you have any Small Group Training, Prime Time, HIIT or Hot Yoga/Body Flow passes on your account that expired during the pandemic, we will reactivate those for you to use to attend classes.

Small Group Training Program Pass Rates

Member Rates

Single class $15
6-class pass $72

Small Group Training program passes allow you to attend any class of your choice and expire 90 days from date of purchase. All services are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Small Group Training Classes

YWCA offers a variety of different Small Group Training class formats.

Boot Camp

Boot Camp is the original high-intensity workout, a mix of running and weights. This class: Burns massive calories, tones muscle, maximizes fat loss and increases your metabolism so you actually burn calories even after class is over.

Senior Strength & Form

Build strength and enhance functional capacity by using dumbbells, bands and body weight. With a focus on correct alignment and proper form for everyday movements, this class will help make daily tasks easier to accomplish. Prime Time classes are ideal for ages 55+.

Small Group Training classes are open to members only; please have your YWCA Minneapolis member ID ready to create a reservation log-in when signing up for the first time.

You can make a class reservation on our website one week in advance and up to 15 minutes before the class starts.

Follow the steps below to make your reservation:

  1. Select your workout site.
  2. Locate the date and time you would like to reserve.
  3. Click Sign Up.
  4. If you are making a reservation for the first time, click the Create a Login tab and enter your name, email address and member ID number. (You can find the number on your member ID card. It is located under your name and starts with DT, MT or UT). Create a password. If you already have a login, enter your email and password. Click Reserve a Spot.

Small Group Training Class Reminders:

  • Please arrive 15 minutes before your class begins.
  • We will hold all reservations until five minutes prior to the start of class. Anyone arriving less than five minutes prior risks forfeiting their reservation.
  • If you do not have a reservation, there will be a standby line outside the studio for anyone waiting to see if there are no-shows. We will award any open spaces on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • If you cannot make your reservation, lease cancel a minimum of two hours prior to your reservation start time. If you must cancel within the two-hour window, please call the Member Services desk.
