Fitness Philosophy

“I believe there is a lot more to health and fitness than one or two things, such as nutrition and exercise, so I take a more wellness-centered approach. In doing so, I look at each client as a complex individual, with a unique personality, interests, goals, preferences, needs, physical capabilities, beliefs, etc. I want to get to know you and help you discover the joy in finding the things that will improve the quality of your life.”

Learn More About Matt

What is your favorite workout and why?
It’s hard to pick just one. I enjoy a variety of physical activities such as snowboarding, skateboarding, functional strength workouts, mountain biking, listening to music on a walk outside, outdoor strength and conditioning workouts (year-round), sprinting, jumping rope, the list goes on…

What do you consider your greatest fitness accomplishment?
I have a few, but the biggest was when I was in the best condition of my life. It was after a few years of a lot of consistent, intense strength and conditioning. I thoroughly enjoyed the variety of workouts I did. I felt like a ninja!

What is your biggest athletic goal?
To maintain balance in a variety of aspects in my life. This includes improving my current level of fitness.

What is your biggest goal outside of the gym?
To live life to the fullest.

What do you do on your rest days?
Surf the web for new music to listen to, take a walk and listen to that music, spend time with my wife, friends and family, watch a movie, go out taking pictures, go to a park and relax.
