Calling Young Professionals

Sara Spiess talks about her involvement with GenYWCA, and why you should join. Are you or is someone you know a young professional looking for a chance to develop leadership skills, volunteer and make a positive impact in the Twin Cities? Do you have a passion for racial justice, health and fitness, or the empowerment of women and children? Then keep reading and consider joining GenYWCA today.I joined GenYWCA two years ago as a way to more deeply align myself with the mission and programs of the YWCA of Minneapolis. As a young professional building a career in this area, I was looking for ways to network, practice leadership and make an impact. Joining GenYWCA did for me just that. Here I have found a like-minded group of young professionals dedicated to making a difference. GenYWCA provides leadership experience in three areas: professional development, volunteer opportunities, and fundraising. It’s great skill building for individuals interested in advancing their careers, and has helped deepen my relationships with other Twin Cities professionals. It’s also enabled me to incorporate more health and fitness into my life.
