Circle of Women Planning is Speeding Along
The 16th Annual Circle of Women LuncheonThursday, May 3, 201210:30 am – 1:30 pmMinneapolis Convention Centerwww.ywcampls.org/circlePlans for the 16th Circle of Women are moving at lightning speed with new Sponsors, Hosts, Table Captains and purses arriving every day! Being on the competitive side, I have challenged the YWCA Circle of Women Committee to top last year’s success, and they have already gone above and beyond. This annual fundraising luncheon has consistently raised more than $500,000 and the YWCA does an amazing job keeping costs low. Last year, 89% of the more than $530,000 raised directly supported YWCA programs.This past week, the sponsorship committee announced exciting news – Best Buy will be this year’s presenting sponsor. This is the first year that Circle has had a presenting sponsor. Huge kudos are due to the sponsorship committee. They are so close to reaching their sponsorship goal, I am sure I will soon be reporting that they have surpassed it.We have a record-breaking nine Host Committee members for the event and are getting close to filling the room with a great group of Table Captains! YWCA Board members have been incredibly supportive, with almost 90% committed. The Circle of Women committee has not only been generous with their time, energy and contacts but they have also stepped up support of the event.Almost Live, our silent auction of unique experience packages, is quickly filling up with great items including:
- Condo in Costa Rica with airfare
- Choose your own Adventure vacation for two from Delta Vacations
- Food and Wine experience with Beth Dooley and Duckhorn Wine
More exciting and unique packages are being created and I will be sure to update you. A preview of both the purse and Almost Live silent auctions will be online starting April 5.Finally, a reminder to anyone who is a Sponsor, Table Captain or Host: The Circle of Women kick-off party is March 6.
