DONATE TO THE EMERGENCY FUND

We are eager to reopen our fitness facilities and other programming as soon as we are able, in accordance with Governor Walz’s Stay Safe MN Plan. While it will not be business as usual, we think our responsible approach to reopening, aligned with MN Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance, will help everyone continue to slow the spread of the coronavirus and protect our YWCA Minneapolis community. As we plan a phased approach to reopening our fitness facilities, we want to hear from you. Please take a few minutes to complete this survey to share your thoughts on retaining your membership, interest in services and precautions YWCA Minneapolis could take to provide a safe environment for all.We are happy to announce we are reopening our fourth Early Childhood Education location downtown beginning June 8 to serve all children, including the children of essential workers who continue to serve on the front lines as our community reopens. And let’s face it, we could all use a little break. So starting June 8, we are offering safe and responsible summer camp; taking every measure to ensure kids have a fun summer with programs designed to provide the right mix of fun and safety. We continue to offer exciting virtual experiences to help keep our community connected to one another and to our mission.Join us virtually on May 28 for our Racism 101 Workshop and explore the various levels of racism, how they intersect and the role racism plays in everyday interactions and decisions. And stay tuned for details on the next It’s Time to Act!™ forum being held next month. This is clearly a challenging time for many youth. Afterschool programs are their safe space away from home – a space where they connect with other caring adults, get guidance and learn. Our Girls and Youth teams are working diligently every day to partner with our youth to explore and deliver that space virtually – from Women of the Week interviews to cooking recipes that help keep them strong. And Facebook Live fitness classesvirtual nutrition seminars and private virtual personal training help members master their food and maintain their health. We hope you are taking time to ensure your well-being and wish you a peaceful and safe Memorial Day weekend.DONATE TO THE EMERGENCY FUND
