YWCA Child Care & Preschool: Where Our Children Are Welcomed, Encouraged and Loved

Claire and Joe have two children enrolled at YWCA Minneapolis Children’s Center at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, a 5-year-old and a 2-year-old. Both children have been a part of YWCA’s early learning programs since they were three months old. Below, Claire describes their family’s experience and how YWCA has helped her children learn and grow!Preschool and Child Care Family at YWCA pose together outdoors in the summer time We have had a really great experience as parents with YWCA Minneapolis Early Childhood Education. The teachers, curriculum and environment have supported our children’s growth and development in so many positive ways.

High-Quality Programming for Their Development

YWCA stands out because it provides high-quality programming that supports all areas of our children’s development. We know when we drop our kids off every morning that they are in excellent care. YWCA’s commitment to advocacy, diversity and inclusion also makes it stand out. We choose to enroll our children at YWCA because they get high-quality care from an organization that has a great mission.

We are so grateful for YWCA Minneapolis and the impact the program has had on our children.

Teachers Create Warm, Supportive Environments

The teachers at YWCA are one of the reasons that we love going there – they are instrumental in creating a warm, supportive learning environment where my children feel welcomed, encouraged and loved.

Family Events Help Us Connect

We have participated in many family events, too. We value the opportunity to connect with other families and teachers. It is usually a celebration of something the kids have been doing or learning about, so it helps us stay involved in what the children are learning.

Our Children’s Favorite Things

I think our children would say the teachers and kids are their favorite things, plus swimming, music and the playground! We are so grateful for YWCA Minneapolis and the impact the program has had on our children. Leo will start kindergarten in the fall and we know he is going to be successful because YWCA has helped him grow into the curious, smart and funny little boy he is.Learn More about YWCA Early Childhood EducationSchedule a Tour
