Crystal Fairchild

Crystal has over 18 years of experience in leading people strategies that leverage diversity, equity, inclusion and cross-cultural competency to advance organizations’ mission and business objectives. For over a decade she has worked across multiple sectors focusing on strategic initiatives and equitable mechanisms to support the values of diversity, compassion, integrity, fairness and inclusion in systems.

Crystal comes to YWCA most recently from Thundermist Health Center in Rhode Island, where she served as the Chief of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Human Resources. In that role, Crystal led the strategic and operational leadership of all policies, programs and practices within the context of human resource management, health equity strategic initiatives, diversity, equity, inclusion and trauma-informed care.

In addition, Crystal served the State of Minnesota for several years. While at the state she led numerous efforts to advance equity and inclusion by eliminating disparities.

Crystal is a graduate from Wilmington University with a master’s degree in human service administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management from Metropolitan State University. She is currently pursuing her doctorate to fulfill her career goal as a trauma-informed, resilience practitioner.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading an enjoyable book and traveling.
