Elizabeth Bierman

Director of Engineering, Comcast Twin Cities Region

Elizabeth Bierman is the director of engineering for Comcast Twin Cities Region. Ms. Bierman is responsible for the engineering department's overall technical vision and strategic direction, which is focused on capacity bandwidth and the network. She leads the engineering department organization in four states, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Kansas and Missouri, where she works to design and architect Comcast’s network.

Before joining Comcast, Ms. Bierman was a senior technical manager for Honeywell Aerospace in Minneapolis. She oversaw the test solutions for navigation, sensors and lighting. She was with Honeywell for 13 years in various roles in systems engineering, customer support and program management.

Ms. Bierman has been involved with the Society of Women Engineers since 1994. She has held numerous leadership positions and served as the society president (2014-2015). In 2006, Ms. Bierman was a Distinguished New Engineer recipient, and in 2018 was named a Fellow.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering and a Master of Science in systems engineering from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa. She additionally earned a Master of Business Administration from Bentley University in Waltham, Mass. In 2007, she received her program management certification (PMP).

Ms. Bierman is married to David and has two daughters, Lauren and Avery.
