Blake Wesley’s Free Basketball Clinic

YWCA Minneapolis and Herbalife will host a free youth basketball clinic led by trainer Joe Abunassar and San Antonio Spurs guard Blake Wesley.

The clinic will focus on improving basketball skills and cardio endurance and teaching about nutrition and healthy habits. It is open to all area youth between 7 and 18 years of age and will be held at the Minneapolis Sports Center.

Participants will work on increasing cardio endurance and developing individual basketball skills through individual activities and drills while learning the fundamentals of basketball, like ball-handling skills, shooting and footwork. They will also understand the importance of nutrition and develop healthy habits to reach their full potential on and off the court.

  • Time: 9 am - 12 pm, Check-in at 8:30 am.

  • Location: Midtown/ Minneapolis Sports Center

  • Cost: FREE

With a career spanning 25 years, Joe Abunassar, a renowned trainer and the founder of IMPACT Basketball, has established himself as a leading figure in basketball training. His exceptional roster of NBA players and prospects, including Herbalife-sponsored athletes Blake Wesley and Ziaire Williams, both former first-round NBA draft picks, is a testament to the success of his methods. Abunassar has worked with over 300 players, from professionals to high school players, and his facility has been a training ground for teams worldwide.

Herbalife-sponsored athlete and San Antonio Spurs* guard Blake Wesley was a former first-round NBA Draft pick in 2022 and, before this, a star guard at Notre Dame. He is committed to giving back to the community and empowering the next generation of athletes. Every year, he and his family host a free youth basketball clinic in his hometown of South Bend, Indiana.
