Katie Rehani is vice president of Girls and Youth at YWCA Minneapolis. She brings a wealth of knowledge in program design and implementation, organizational sustainability and collaborative partnership cultivation. Katie is a strategic leader who inspires innovation across seven unique programs serving young people throughout Minneapolis.
Prior to joining YWCA in 2018, Katie had the opportunity to live and contribute professionally in diverse locations worldwide. For over 10 years, Katie was largely immersed in educational, therapeutic and youth enrichment environments, finding joy in the self-discovery and autonomy of these experiences. Bringing these foundational principles to her work, Katie leads the Girls and Youth department with a strengths-based focus on personal identity, inclusivity and advocacy.
Katie is passionate about youth empowerment and community development. She currently serves on the board of Fireweed Community Woodshop and is a part of the University of Minnesota Extension Committee. She holds a B.A. in gender and women’s studies and minor in psychology from the College of St. Benedict. Katie enjoys spending time with her partner and dogs, is an avid cook and has a deep love for sports, particularly professional basketball.
