Kate died unexpectedly of a heart attack late in the day on April 8.Kate served on YWCA Minneapolis’ board of directors since January 2017 and was the board chair since July 2019. During her board service, Kate was a passionate advocate for the mission of YWCA Minneapolis and led multiple initiatives in addition to co-chairing the search committee for my placement as president and CEO in January this year.Kate earned her B.S. degree from Georgetown and an MBA from Wharton and was working on a Ph.D. in organizational development and change. Throughout her life, she held multiple corporate leadership positions, including at JPMorgan Chase, and was an active community and nonprofit leader.More than her accomplishments, Kate truly lived the mission of YWCA Minneapolis.
