Thank you to Becky Roloff for her legacy of strong programs, exceptional results and community impact
On Wednesday, May 4, the St. Catherine University Board of Trustees voted to elect Becky Roloff the 11th President of St. Catherine University.
“YWCA Minneapolis is tremendously grateful to Becky for her leadership over the last 11 years. She leaves a legacy of community impact, and a resilient, strong organization,” said Irene Quarshie, YWCA’s board chair.Roloff began serving as President and CEO of YWCA Minneapolis in August 2005. During her tenure, the organization became the largest non-profit provider of high-quality, nationally accredited early childhood education in Minnesota. The organization serves more than 2,300 children and youth and 24,000 fitness members each year, on operating revenues that have increased from $13 million to $23 million since 2005. Consistently each year, more than 90 percent of our pre-schoolers test ready for kindergarten.Under Roloff's leadership, YWCA Minneapolis was recognized for many awards and accomplished many “firsts.” YWCA Minneapolis won the statewide Nonprofit Excellence Award for large organizations, and was nationally recognized by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) for excellence in engaging diverse families. Becky led YWCA Minneapolis as it launched the first and largest Women’s triathlon in the state, and our youth swam the English Channel. In addition, she led YWCA Minneapolis’ successful Power to Soar CampaignTM, which raised $22.5 million to support and sustain the organization’s future.Becky’s last day with YWCA Minneapolis will be June 30, 2016. The Board of Directors will launch a national search for her replacement immediately. Mary Jones, YWCA Minneapolis’ Chief Advancement and Program Officer, will serve as interim CEO and President effective July 1, 2016 until the role is filled.
