YWCA Minneapolis Hosts Community Conversations on the 50th Anniversary of the Assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

What:     

April 4, 2018 marks the 50^th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s assassination. In honor of the legacy of Dr. King and to highlight his impact on civil rights and social justice movements of the past and present, YWCA Minneapolis is holding community conversations. At these events, community members will engage in facilitated discussion about what Dr. King’s work means today and how individuals can contribute toward Dr. King’s vision. In Dr. King’s memory, we are asking that everyone wear black as a sign of respect for what he stood for, fought for and what his work continues to represent.
