Building on our strengths

Our community needs what we do well:

  • high-quality and accessible early childcare education,

  • high-impact girls and youth programs,

  • meaningful and successful racial justice and public policy initiatives, and

  • inclusive and top-notch health and wellness offerings at Midtown.

When we invest in proven programs that make a difference for our children, we give them the tools and resources to succeed. That’s why we’re raising money to further strengthen the four pillars of our organization — and we need your support today.

Our children need us to advocate for them, and we will continue working with our individual and institutional partners to pave the way for their success. The changes we announced in August 2023 — the closure and future sale of our Downtown and Uptown facilities and the consolidation of health and wellness at Midtown — position us to make a bigger impact on the lives of families and community members across the Twin Cities.

A HISTORY OF CHANGE ↘

For more than 130 years, YWCA Minneapolis has worked with our community to meet the needs of hundreds of thousands of people throughout the Twin Cities. Last year alone, our programs helped 500+ children receive high-quality, anti-bias education; 800+ girls and youth gain the skills and experience to become leaders in their lives and communities; and 2,000+ individuals learn about civic engagement and how to combat racial inequities.
