Consistent with the governor’s Stay Safe Executive Order, temporary closures of some of our facilities and programs will remain in effect through at least June 1. As we anticipate reopening, we are taking a measured approach to our planning – one that protects our community’s health while allowing us to gradually reopen our facilities and programming. Our detailed plans and safety protocols include a slow and phased reopening of fitness programs and services, managing for social distancing in all of our programming, enhanced cleaning measures, health screenings and personal protective equipment for employees, and encouraging members, program participants and visitors to wears masks to help protect our neighbors and YWCA Minneapolis community. In addition, we continue to utilize measures in our child care centers guided by recommendations from the Minnesota Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to keep the children in our Children's Centers safe. While we are eager to reopen our facilities and programs when we are able, we are confident that our thoughtful and phased approach to reopening will allow us to work together to continue to provide a welcoming and safe environment for all.Keeping the safety and well-being of our community as our top priority, we have shifted this year’s Women’s Triathlon to a virtual Summer Tri Fest open to everyone. Stay motivated, connected and safe this summer by creating your very own personalized triathlon, duathlon or aquabike challenge and join us for a virtual celebration on August 9!As we continually adapt to the changing needs of our community during this pandemic, we are serving children of essential workers and scholarship families at three of our Early Childhood Education centers and delivering innovative Health and Wellness, Girls and Youth and Racial Justice and Public Policy programming every day to advance our mission.
