YWCA at the Midtown Farmer's Market

I’m very excited to announce that the YWCA will be offering fitness classes at the Midtown Farmer’s Market all summer long!
From May – September, the YWCA Health & Wellness department is partnering with the Midtown Farmer’s Market and the Corcoran Neighborhood Organization to bring free fitness classes to the Market. This partnership will bring YWCA fitness classes to more people in the community – helping people get healthy and experience the irresistible fun of the YWCA! Non-members and members are all welcome to join us to work up a sweat outside and then shop the market!Starting Saturday, May 2:
  • R.I.P.P.E.D. class on Saturday mornings from 8:30-9:30 am – Adults only. Midtown Farmer’s Market (in the parking lot between the Midtown LRT station and the MPS building)

Starting Tuesday, June 2:

  • Zumba on Tuesday evenings from 5:30-6:30 pm – taught by Tania (Everyone welcome). Midtown Farmer’s Market (in the parking lot between the Midtown LRT station and the MPS building)

All summer long, we will work with our partners to seek input and ideas about how to create healthy and active outdoor spaces in the Midtown area. We anticipate that what we learn this summer will also help inform the development of a permanent public plaza in Phase 3 of the L&H Station development (the property immediately east of the Midtown YWCA). More information on the development project is available from the Corcoran Neighborhood Organization.I hope you can join us outside for class sometime this summer!
