Meet the Instructor
Howard Root brings a wealth of experience and passion for lifelong learning. A lifelong Twin Cities resident and advocate for community education, Howard has taught Tai Chi and Qi Gong since 2006, drawing on his studies with Dr. Russ Smiley and Five Element Academy. He is certified to teach specialized form Tai Chi for arthritis and diabetes and holds a master’s degree in Adult Education from the University of Minnesota.
Beyond Tai Chi, Howard’s dedication to teaching spans a variety of subjects, including youth programs in chess, rocketry and improv. His dynamic approach ensures a class that is both educational and fun.
