YWCA Minneapolis Appoints Four New Members to its Board of Directors

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:(Minneapolis, Minnesota) – YWCA Minneapolis Appoints Four New Members to its Board of DirectorsBoard membersMarch 17, 2022 – YWCA Minneapolis is proud to announce the appointment of Shweta Jhanji, Charlene Lee, Kael Peterson and Rachel Whitcomb to its Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is chaired by Carissa Rollins, chief information officer, Illumina.Shweta Jhanji is Senior Vice President, Treasurer of Ameriprise Financial, Inc. She is part of the Finance Leadership Team (FLT), serving as a voting member of key risk committees and an active participant on additional Executive Committees and Ameriprise Boards. Ms. Jhanji holds a Bachelor of Economics from Delhi University and MBA in Finance from S.P.J.I.M.R. (among the top 10 programs in Asia). Ms. Jhanji and her husband reside in Minnetonka with their two children.Charlene Lee has held senior leadership, investment and advisory roles at Knowledge is Power Program Dallas-Fort Worth, Churchill Capital, EY, and a publicly-traded REIT. Ms. Lee received her master and undergraduate degrees from The University of Texas at Austin. She resides in Edina with her husband and two children.Kael Peterson is a Senior Vice President with Wells Fargo’s Specialized Industries Healthcare team. In 2002, Kael earned her bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Iowa in Iowa City. In February 2021, she was named one of Twin Cities Notable Women in Commercial Banking by Twin Cities Business Magazine. Ms. Peterson and her husband, 10-year-old son and Goldendoodle reside in Hopkins.Rachel Whitcomb has a nearly 20-year tenure at Target Corporation, which has included a wide range of positions leading teams and technology for the organization. Ms. Whitcomb holds an MBA from the Carlson School of Management and undergraduate degrees in Communications and Computer Science.
