YWCA Minneapolis Announces It's Time to Act!™ Forum Series: Beyond Access: Disability Justice & Radical Inclusion
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:March 15, 2022 (Minneapolis, Minnesota) – On March 23, YWCA Minneapolis will host Beyond Access: Disability Justice & Radical Inclusion, a virtual forum featuring leading disability and social justice advocate Talila A. Lewis. The forum will unpack the layers of intersectional oppression that exist in our society and teach actions that promote disability justice. Participants will be able to more fully address ableism and systemic barriers that continue to restrict and hinder the disabled community.Said Shelley Carthen Watson, President and CEO of YWCA Minneapolis, “It is the goal of the It’s Time to Act! forum to break down barriers and create meaningful change in our communities.
