YWCA Minneapolis Opens Nominations for the 2022 Woman of Power Award
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:(Minneapolis, Minnesota) – YWCA Minneapolis Opens Nominations for the 2022 Woman of Power AwardFebruary 24, 2022 (Minneapolis, Minnesota) – YWCA Minneapolis announced that it is opening nominations for its 2022 Woman of Power Award. For the first time, nominations may be made by the broader YWCA community of members, families, clients, partners, volunteers, former board members and general public supporters, to welcome a wider pool of worthy candidates. The 2022 Woman of Power Award will be presented during YWCA Minneapolis’ inaugural Empower Possible event on June 2. Nominations are open now through March 31.“This is a wonderful opportunity to engage the broader community of YWCA Minneapolis supporters,” said Shelley Carthen Watson, president and CEO of YWCA Minneapolis. “Allowing open nominations will give all supporters of our organization the chance to nominate deserving women throughout the Twin Cities.”YWCA Minneapolis established the Woman of Power Award five years ago to honor women from the private and public sectors from across the Twin Cities who have demonstrated commitment, enthusiasm and support for the mission and values of YWCA Minneapolis.
