WCCO Features YWCA Children Marching for Equity and CEO Luz María Frías

Wednesday, March 8 was both International Women’s Day and a national “Day Without A Woman." More than 100 children, teachers, staff and parents marched indoors at their Early Childhood Education centers to recognize the enormous value that women of all backgrounds add to our socio-economic system--while receiving lower wages and experiencing greater inequities, vulnerability to discrimination, sexual harassment, and job insecurity.WCCO visited YWCA Minneapolis Downtown Children's Center to capture video footage of the march and also interview YWCA Minneapolis President and CEO Luz María Frías.
